The Hope Project is very pleased to announce that it is expanding it’s vision. The Hope Project is increasing its influence, the opportunities to bless and its overall potential by becoming an ‘umbrella’ framework under which all Shekinah Christian Church social action initiatives focused on the alleviation of poverty can operate.
The new and expanded aims can be seen below.
to provide new and quality goods and appliances to people who are in need
to perform garden tidying and clearances for members of our local community
to deliver Money coaching courses to those wanting to improve their budgeting skills and to signpost to debt advice agencies where required
to provide hot meals to those in need in our local area and to work closely with the local food bank
to identify new ways in which the needs of the poor in our local community can be met
The emphasis shall continue to be on the Penzance area however the Hope Project will now consider referrals from anyone in the West Cornwall area.
This is an exciting time in which we hope we will be able to reach and help more people in our community. If you know someone in need or you can help us with your time or finance then we would love to hear from you!
Hope outside went LARGE yesterday with it’s first project of the year being the biggest yet. It was a great day and a great team effort, thanks to all those that helped it really made a big difference and now means that this lady has her garden back!! See the dramatic transformation by clicking on the video link below!
Thanks to everyone who voted!! The Hope Project has again been successful in gaining funding through the Cornishman’s Community Cashback award. This means a very valuable £400 award. Big thanks to Shekinah Christian Church who have agreed to match it, making healthy total of £800 towards the work of Hope and helping people in our community. We couldn’t have done it without you.
After a successful 2015, we’re continuing our work throughout 2016 and calling for your ever-generous contributions of financial offers of help.

2015 saw the launch of “Hope Outside”, a new initiative that seeks to help people with practical work around and outside their homes. We’re seeking to bless people in our community by helping them with manual tasks which, for whatever reason, may be too much to manage on their own. It has been a great success so far, with a team of volunteers helping families in the Penzance area!
